Beautiful wavy star see through patterns cover the sides of the crown and the entire brim. The only part that’s solid is right at the top.

This hat was hand woven from toquilla palm straw in Peru.

It was made using the same hand weaving methods as “Panama” hats that are made in Ecuador.

Toquilla palm is a very flexible straw ideal for the careful bending and tight, intricate weaving necessary to make this hat.

We had these hats carefully picked out by our emissary and hand carried back from Peru.

We have only a single hat like this, though given enough time, we could probably another woven that is similar.

The head size is Medium – about 55.5 cm (21 7/8")
The brim is about 4" wide. The crown is 3.5" high.

The is no inner lining, sweat band or head band, just pure straw.
